What You'll Be Doing

To help us sustain our growth, we are seeking an experienced Data Analyst (ideally with a strong interest in data engineering) who will play an integral role within a lean and multidisciplinary team. Awaiting you is the opportunity to work on a new product, coupled with a great deal of freedom and responsibility from the outset. Our product will be largely shaped by your contributions!

Your duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Dissect complex datasets from multiple channels, extract meaningful insights, and present findings to help prioritise the work of the commercial team and drive our business forward
  • Expand our internal reporting tool (based on Looker, Google Sheets, Zapier, and others)
  • Maintain our infrastructure and Virtual Machines on AWS and GCP
  • Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines that ensure seamless data flow across our platforms, optimising data quality and accessibility for analysis and operational use
  • Set up scrapers to build real-time ingredient pricing models and identify future potential brands and suppliers
  • Gather and prepare data for models that are set up by our data scientists
  • Work closely with the CTO and the Senior Data Scientist to decide on future directions of the data strategy

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the whole data spectrum and eventually wants to specialise in data analysis or data engineering when we grow further.

What Experience You Have
  • 3+ years of experience as a data analyst or data engineer in a start- or scale-up
  • Experience translating business needs and roadmaps into a data strategy and executing upon it, experience with cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong command of Python and knowledge of major data analysis libraries
  • Experience with Elasticsearch, SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
  • Profound knowledge of at least one major cloud provider
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with setting up web scrapers with Python (e.g. Selenium) would be a plus
