Web & Search Marketing Senior Specialist
As a trailblazer in our transformation journey, you'll have a unique opportunity to create a lasting impact in two critical digital domains: Web & PPC. This role spans various responsibilities, requiring the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize effectively, and skillfully leverage agency support. Our approach focuses on a strategic buildup and prioritization of initiatives, ensuring steady and impactful progress.
This role will be crucial in driving new customer acquisition through a spectrum of web and PPC-related tasks. It encompasses both strategic and operational elements, contributing directly to our digital transformation.
By joining our team, you'll become part of the newly established digital marketing Centre of Excellence, playing a key role in shaping BN's digital future. This role is in the global marketing team, reporting directly to the Head of Digital Marketing. The role can be 100% remote from either Switzerland, Germany, or Denmark - or it can be a hybrid role within Switzerland.
Web-related responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the global web strategy for HCPs (Health Care Professionals) and patient portals, staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Create and manage a cohesive web content strategy to engage and attract target audiences.
- Implement on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies to improve the visibility and rankings of the website. Monitor and analyze SEO performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary optimizations.
- With the support of an external vendor, administer and maintain CMS platforms (Drupal and WordPress) to ensure smooth operation and user-friendly interfaces.
- Ensure adherence to brand guidelines, usability standards, and best practices in web design.
- Develop and enforce web governance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Provide strategic guidance and operational support to local marketing contributors. Develop and facilitate training sessions to educate team members on web-related tools, processes, and best practices.
- Collaborate with IT and external vendors to manage web hosting services, and to ensure optimal server performance, security, and scalability.
SEM-related responsibilities:
- Develop paid search strategies aligned with the marketing objectives.
- Guide and support local marketers in implementing and optimizing paid campaigns.
- Conduct keyword research, analyze competitors, and optimize campaigns for expansion.
- Oversee multiple paid search accounts, monitoring and analyzing the performance metrics.
- Lead campaign optimization by using a broad spectrum of improvement tactics, e.g., ad copy and landing page optimization, A/B testing, CRO techniques, etc.
- Develop SEM processes, and provide training on tools, strategies, and best practices.
- Utilize tools like GTM, Google Analytics, and Data Studio for tracking and optimization.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the required fields.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently.
- Outstanding project management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Good understanding of web design principles and usability standards.
- Proficiency in CMS platforms (preferably Drupal and WordPress) and web analytics tools (Google Analytics, GSC, etc.), as well as in managing paid search accounts and campaigns (Google, YouTube, Display, etc.).
- Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition.
- Excellent understanding of SEO principles and experience with on-page, off-page, and technical optimization (SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, or similar).
- Familiarity with GTM, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, etc., and CRM systems (preferably with SalesForce, Veeva CRM, as well as Marketing Cloud).
- Basic understanding of the programming languages (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript).
