This is a full time, remote Summer Internship that can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.

Calix is looking for a Summer intern to join our Demand Generation team. In this role, you will be part of a unique and award-winning internship program within the company. The program provides the opportunity to learn new skills through training and on the job learning.

This opportunity will provide education into Calix and how sales is enabled and trained so that they can confidently sell to their prospects and customers. This role will provide exposure to different products, solutions, and sales team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about marketing and wants to optimize new ways to enable our sellers. This is an exciting opportunity for any aspiring Sales or Marketing student to come into a high growth, fast paced environment and get real hands-on experience building a field enablement program. The duration of the program is expected to be 90 days.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Work with key internal stakeholders to support the development of Demand Generation programs. Learn our enablement tools and become proficient on how to make them efficient for our sellers.
  • Ensure our CRM tools have clean data for outbound marketing and Demand Generation.
  • Research prospect, contact, and persona details in Salesforce.com (SFDC) and other tools to determine what is new in the enablement space.
  • Assist with data general data clean up initiatives.
  • Research online courses and books to supplement role-based learning.
  • Load Salesforce campaigns and tie to Pardot campaigns.
  • Assist with adding new segmentation information to existing accounts and contacts (Job function, contact information, product preferences, product power users, etc.).
  • Research digital channel effectiveness and evaluate new channels.
  • Create data-driven marketing training materials.
  • Upload training content from enablement sessions to Seismic.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to assess relevance of Seismic content and recommend refreshes.
  • Pull weekly reports on enablement performance.


Qualifications

  • Working towards Marketing/Communication/Business/Sales degree.
  • Excel and data entry experience.
  • Salesforce.com or CRM experience preferred.
  • Comfortable with technology and learning new apps and platforms.
  • Team player.
  • Experience in a role or project requiring analytical problem solving and analysis.
  • Strong communication skills within all levels of an organization.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Available to work effectively in a remote environment with a high tolerance for ambiguity and fast changing environments.
  • Microsoft Office software suite experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work for the complete summer break (May - August or June - September).
  • Prefer a rising Junior or Senior but will consider rising a rising Sophomore with experience.


Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education (i.e. year in school).

There are different ranges applied to specific locations. The average hourly rate in the U.S. for the position is listed below.

$17.00 – $22.00 USD

National Major Cities Plus, CA, CO, NY Metro Area

$18.00 - $24.00 USD

San Francisco Bay Area Only

$21.00 - $28.00 USD
