Repsol has an opening for a Data Analytics / Artificial Intelligence Intern in our Technical E&P unit, located in The Woodlands, Texas for the summer of 2024.Repsol’s student employment program offers the following advantages:

- Support technical teams to integrate large live data bases into business analysis.
- Research and apply machine learning techniques to facilitate solutions for data processing.
- Develop IA opportunities to enhance business analytics.
- Assist colleagues with the creation of process design documents.
- Other duties as assigned by the department manager or designee.
- Collect and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Prepare data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to the team.
- Assist in creating predictive models and conducting statistical analyses to support business decisions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and objectives.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
- Assist in data cleaning, transformation, and maintenance to ensure data accuracy.
- Support data governance initiatives to uphold data quality standards.
- Applying AI to solve business problems - requiring the following:
- An understanding of Artificial Intelligence and related tools and techniques,
- Experience with generative AI platforms.
- Data Analytics & Software Development skillset (e.g., Phython, SQL, R, Java, Ruby, etc)
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and slide writing skills
- Collaborate effectively with team members and provide analytical support as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and innovative team environment.
- Actively participate in meetings and discussions.
- Fully authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship now or in the future. Additionally, we are not authorized for employment under OPT/CPT/F1 visa programs.
- Successful completion of 2 years towards a Bachelor's (or higher) program.
- Strong grasp on programming concepts.
- Knowledge in any one of the following languages: VB.NET / C#.NET / Python
- Knowledge in data analysis tools such as Excel, Python, R, or similar.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling.
- Strong interest in data analysis, business analytics, and problem-solving.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work with data and derive meaningful insights.
- Detail‐oriented, and highly motivated.
- Ability to interact in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and analytical methods.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Willingness to ask questions and seek guidance when needed.
- Position will be supported onsite at our US headquarters in The Woodlands, TX.
- Total hours worked per week based on mutual agreement between the intern and the department manager or executive.
