Overview

Assist in performing operational and customer support duties related to Individual Retirement Account (IRA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) products and services; direct internal and external customer service contact; maintain current Internal Revenue Service (IRS) compliance knowledge related to products; serve as a resource to customer service personnel; maintain current knowledge related to IRA/HSA products on the core system; review and process documents received from customer service personnel; assist with special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

General Function

  • Perform operational duties related to IRA and HSA functions:
    • Perform system account maintenance.
    • Communicate system and compliance issues with branch personnel.
    • Assist with tax reporting on IRAs/HSAs.
  • Maintain IRA/HSA knowledge of rules, regulations and best practices by attending professional development courses, webinars, classes, conferences, etc. as approved or requested by VP Operations Manager.
  • Work with IRA and HSA documents coming through document workflow system to archive or forward to team to be worked.
  • Pull reports (excess contributions, RMD, deceased customer, etc.) and take any follow through action. As outlined in the IRA/HSA back office procedures.
  • Assist with any special projects and mailings to IRA/HSA accountholders.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Support Activities

  • Assist Call Center and Branch staff with navigating the 3 HSA portals.
  • Communicate with appropriate personnel to ensure consistency in product.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers as appropriate.
  • Work with IRA/HSA Administrator to assist Learning & Development Department with branch training for IRAs and HSAs.
  • At the direction of the IRA/HSA Administrator, participate in testing new systems, upgrades, and products.
  • Partner with IRA/HSA Administrator to maintain procedural documentation for products (front and back office).
  • Serve as back up to IRA/HSA Specialist II in his/her absence.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required. An Associate’s Degree in business related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) years’ IRA/HSA experience or formal training in the field is preferred.
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer and data entry skills.
  • Moderate report writing abilities.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently within a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
  • Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Core banking system, OnBase, Internet and Intranet based program experience preferred.

Pay Range

USD $18.40 - USD $22.50 /Hr.
