Remote Contract Java / J2EE Developer

This role is 100% remote but you must reside in the state of Texas. This is a 6-month contract with the potential for extension/conversion.

We are working with a State Agency headquartered in Austin, TX to help them find a Java Developer who will work on a business-critical application written in Java. This will include updates to the user interface and business logic as well as extending reporting capabilities and the system data model.

Responsibilities:

• Supports application enhancements and defect corrections in maintenance mode.
• Supports applications in multiple environments
• Coding testing, peer reviews, documentation, defect root cause analysis, and troubleshooting
• Maintaining code coverage, testing, and security policies and procedures is required.
• Available for on-call support as needed.

Requirements:

• Experience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) in Java programming language
• Experience in applications development on J2EE platform
• Experience in writing SQL for relational databases
• Experience in RESTful web services on Spring platform
• Experience working on Spring Aspect Oriented Programming like transaction management and security
• Experience with JUnit and Unit Test development
• Experience with Angular UI Framework
• Experience with Crystal Reports
• Experience with PowerBI
• Available for on-call support as needed
