Responsibilities

What you'll do…

  • Lead the design and delivery of the next generation of High Voltage (HV) systems for future model electric vehicle programs.
  • Lead the team comprised of HV design and release engineers, attribute engineers, validation engineers, subject matter experts, program control and vehicle program management.
  • Complete HV system engineering deliverables for each vehicle program milestone including:
  • In-vehicle package envelope for HV (high voltage) battery, HV modules, HV wiring and associated HV interfaces.
  • HV system attributes
  • Assembly and service feasibility
  • Component, system and vehicle validation testing
  • Manage HV system cost, weight, and sourcing.
  • Deliver HV systems to prototype vehicle builds on time and on budget.
  • Assure HV systems are production ready per Phased PPAP process.
  • Resolve prototype and production build issues.
  • Launch vehicle programs at local facilities, out of state facilities and/or international locations.
  • Report program status in milestone papers and management forums.


Qualifications

You'll have...

  • BS in any field of Engineering
  • Prior design and release experience.
  • Ability to work effectively with various functions of a vehicle program.
  • Desire to work with an innovative team to deliver high-quality leading-edge technologies
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork, organizational, oral communication, and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills. Able to effectively interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Motivation to bring new technologies from concept to production in a short time period


Even better, you may have…

  • 5+ years of prior design and release experience.
  • Ford design and release or other automotive experience.
  • Experience working with CAD software tools.
  • Overall knowledge of electric vehicle systems.
