What You Can Expect

This role supports in the design and execution of the pricing strategy to achieve key margin accretion objectives across Zimmer Biomet in EMEA. This role engages with relevant internal Commercial & Marketing business leaders, finance & analytics team across EMEA to execute price setting, price getting and price netting processes for our most relevant brands.

How You'll Create Impact

Assist Cluster Pricing Managers in all Price Setting, Getting and Netting Initiatives
  • Responsible for understanding company products and their added value, knowing competitor pricing and market expectations to determine the ideal target price for products
  • Develop a guidance process and communication plan for price setting education
  • Assist in the implementation of a consistent exception handling approach across EMEA.
  • Support the development and roll-out of pricing bands and floor prices for key brands and countries
  • Standardize and prepare pricing templates, deploy and lead deal desk/war room discussions of large & medium low margin deals.
  • Propose product/mix/price alternatives to protect and/or improve prices and/or margins in local deals
  • Support the development and implementation of a structured approach to identify margin leakage throughout key brands and countries in EMEA
  • Collect and use data to identify price erosion opportunities
  • Develop and roll-out standardized pricing performance tracking and review processes for quarterly assessment on key brands & markets
  • Liaise with local teams to understand root causes for Key Price Erosion variances & deviations, generate insights and recommend actions
  • Lead internal pricing meetings to ensure metrics are clearly understood and acted upon
  • Create dashboards of Pricing KPIs to be used by EMEA and local teams to measure pricing performance and instill a culture of analysis, learning and improvement
  • Monitor sales data, run analyses, track changes in pricing data and quantify impact of price, volume and mix into price variances
  • Design a system to track pricing escalations, price corridors and brand performance across different countries

What Makes You Stand Out

Professional experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical device industry in regional pricing roles.
  • Extensive knowledge of building tools, dashboards, reports with Excel and familiar with company internal data systems.
  • Strong track record of preparing dashboards, analyzing data and acting on insights generated
  • Experience using Vendavo pricing software preferred, particularly Profit Analyzer and Margin Bridge Analyzer modules

Special expertise
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze pricing insights and implement changes in the organization
  • A natural aptitude for mathematics and statistics, ability to think analytically
  • Strong quantitative skills in excel is mandatory, more advanced tools including Power BI preferable
  • High business acumen with ability to manage multiple projects with precision and accuracy
  • Strong cross functional collaboration and communication skills – both written and oral

Languages
  • Strong written and verbal command of English and German

Your Background

Education
  • Bachelor or higher. Statistics, mathematics, accounting, finance, economics or sales & marketing preferred.

MBA or Masters in data analytics or statistics a plus
