Job Title: Network Administrator / Technology Spec.
Location: Phoenix AZ (Hybrid)
11:00PM to 7:30AM Eastern - must be willing to work EST
Summary:
Install, configure, and support an organization s systems or a segment of a network systems.
Must have technical skills/experience (ask for alternative/tool/version):
- Working knowledge of Cisco Routers: Hardware & software
- WAN links such as MPLS, GigE, and broadband
- Layer 2 protocols such as Vlans, Spanning Tree,
- Layer 3 routing protocols such as eigrp, bgp, ospf
- TCP/IP and related protocols
- Working knowledge of network packet capture tools such as Wireshark, WildPackets, etc.
- ITIL Foundations or experience with concepts such as Request, Incident, Problem and Change
- Ability to utilize network packet capture to diagnose network communication anomalies and disruptions
- Working knowledge of DNS administration (preferred - Bluecat DNS product experience)
- Study and document present work flow and procedures. Identify potential computer networking and computer application areas.
- Configure and analyze email applications or virus protection software.
- Write, test and de-bug complex programs.
- Prepare system flow diagrams and develop systems procedures.
- Provide technical assistance and training to user staff and to programming and operation personnel.
- Prepare, coordinate and supervise systems implementation.
- Performs advanced administration requiring sound and thorough knowledge of specified operational products /services.
- Provides technical operational, analytical and research support to technical teams through both written and verbal communications.
- Drives incident resolution and root cause analysis of production problems.
- Administers, executes processes/procedures and addresses issues for products and services supported in Technology Infrastructure.
- May support analysis and report generation, exception processing and service management.
- Implements new products, services, and operational solutions as well as augments existing capabilities.
- Develops and maintains technical, operational and service procedures, as well as process workflows for operational/applications teams.
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage one s time.
- Ability to identify, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements.
- Knowledge of networking computer hardware and software
- High School Degree and Bachelors degree in data processing /related field or equivalent work experience required.
- 3 to 5 years experience in role required
