About the role

The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, detailed, motivated, and ambitious individual who is looking for an opportunity to join a rapidly expanding software company that is dedicated to being an industry leader. The A/R Collections Specialist will be responsible for all A/R and Collections functions and will report directly to the Collections Lead.

What you'll do as an A/R Collections Specialist

  • Manage customer accounts and inquiries (email, ticket, and phone), collect payments, and manage collections outreach within our established collections process.
  • Process all cash applications for payments received
  • Cross departmental collaboration to determine customer software usage and billing amounts
  • Work with customers to set up payment plans and ensure bills are paid in a timely manner
  • Handle Account Receivables management and the process of reaching out to customers for collections
  • Answer customer inquiries about past due invoices and help resolve any errors
  • Escalate customer issues to the Collections Lead

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in Collections is required
  • 1-3 years of experience in Cash Application is preferred
  • Knowledge of collections specialist responsibilities, billing systems and procedures
  • Expert level in MS Office
  • Experience with SaaS or other subscription-based billing preferred
  • Ability to deal with customers directly
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Nice to haves

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work hard, take direction, and anticipate problems and their solutions without explicit guidance
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
  • NetSuite experience is preferred
  • Previous experience with NetSuite accounting software systems is a plus
  • Experience working with a distributed/remote team
  • Previous experience working for a US company is a plus
