In this position...

This includes, but is not limited to, the development and release of Specifications, interaction with ESE/OPD, Upstream, service operation (tech. support, IDS...), Part, Sales, & Logistics, purchasing, Vehicle Off Road, and harvesting & remanufacturing suppliers. Focus commodities will be Electric Vehicle High Voltage and Non- high voltage components.

What You'll Do...

  • Prepare Engineering Statements of Work
  • Write and release Reman/Refurb/Recert engineering specifications
  • Release part drawings
  • Work with STA to launch and maintain quality
  • Coordinate with PD and Ongoing Product Development On specifications and approvals
  • Lead Product launch Engineering efforts
    • Work cross functionally with EPE/OPD to author and release xEV specifications (warranty & retail) (EPE releases ES; reword somehow; Work with EPE/OPD and coordinate the release of...)
    • Lead design and release efforts (CAD, WERS...)
    • Support purchasing with potential supplier evaluations.
    • Support purchasing with Engineering Statement Of Work (ESOW)
    • Support Refurbished/Remanufacturing Core group creation and management.
    • Support Quality team with technical expertise for ongoing quality evaluations and PPAP
  • Support the Category Manager with Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV)/Full Hybrid Electric Vehicle (FHEV)/ Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) service part strategy development and deployment
  • Coordinate with Project/category specialist and VOR team to reduce xEV Vehicles Off Road
  • Contribute to the development of the harvested component business cases
  • Lead Supplier support on issue management, quality (hand off to Supplier Technical Assistance), Technical (Hand off to PD or FCSD engineering)
  • Assist the Category Manager in managing the excess inventory of each assigned parts category.
  • Work with vehicle data to develop and monitor validation criteria for harvested parts
  • Support backorder resolution for existing product lines.

You'll have...

Minimum

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple complex projects and deliver superior results on a timely basis.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to deliver major projects.
  • Strong written & verbal skills to prepare, present, and communicate actions status and results on a regular basis.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, MS Project and SharePoint.
  • 2 + Years of engineering experience

Even better, you may have...

Preferred

  • Experience with Ford design and release process (engineering and service part numbering)
  • Experience with releasing parts in Ford's World Wide Engineering Release System
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Technical understanding of Electric Vehicle systems preferred
  • Technical understanding of manufacturing, International Organization for Standards (ISO)
