About The Role

As the first Head of Marketing, you'll spearhead the development and execution of our comprehensive marketing plan and strategy. Your vision, experience, and execution will be vital for your personal as well as our marketing success. From creating impactful marketing collateral to executing integrated lead generation campaigns, you'll play a key role in driving awareness and engagement for our cutting-edge catastrophe risk modeling solutions. You'll guide our team in generating leads and maintaining brand compliance with your expertise in digital marketing and social media.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire marketing function, developing and executing a comprehensive marketing plan and strategy.
  • Creating marketing collateral to assist Sales, including white papers, brochures, email campaigns, press releases, website copy, videos, and blogs.
  • Collaborate with internal resources and sales teams to develop sales enablement tools across various touchpoints.
  • Execute integrated lead generation campaigns, including organic and paid social, digital, email, PR, direct mail, and advertising.
  • Oversee organic and paid social campaigns, content calendars, and social posts to increase awareness, build a following, and generate leads.
  • Manage the marketing automation platform, lead generation process, and tracking to optimize performance.
  • Ensure brand compliance and maintain high-quality standards throughout the marketing department.
  • Strategize and collaborate on event marketing plans and implementation.
  • Create a growth marketing strategy to increase market share.
  • Manage contractors and internal or external designers as needed regarding branding and web design.
  • Handle special projects, such as branded company swag gifts for employees and events.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8 - 10+ years of marketing experience, with at least 2 years in B2B marketing.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a team lead, building and managing marketing resources.
  • Proven experience in digital marketing (SEO, digital ads, email) and social media with a track record of generating leads.
  • Growth marketing mindset; ability to pull multiple disciplines within the organization to assist in driving marketing initiatives.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism; able to work well with executive leadership.
  • Process-driven implementer who not only creates SOPs but also documents them accordingly.
  • Detail-oriented project manager with the ability to prioritize multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and lead by example.
  • Energetic, open to feedback and development, and dedicated to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely with little direction at times.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with a technical product.
  • BA/BS in public relations, communications, marketing, business, or journalism.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus.
  • Be technology-savvy and have familiarity with HTML, CSS, InDesign, WordPress, HubSpot/Salesforce, Google Analytics is a plus.
