We are looking to hirte a Software Engineer II to join our Commerce + Ecosystems engineering team (C+E), which builds and manages the critical products and services that Microsoft runs on. The team powers, enables, and transforms the digital Microsoft customer experience across devices, applications, and infrastructure. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy and support secure & scalable enterprise solutions
  • Active participant as a core member of a project team
  • Work with Product Owners to consume product backlog and generate technical design
  • Work across teams to ensure seamless integration of the enterprise solution
  • Work in an Agile environment using SCRUM methodology

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience
    • 2+ years of industry experience designing and developing enterprise scale services & platforms
    • 2+ years of expertise developing solutions on Microsoft Azure Platform
    • 2+ years of hands-on experience with HTML5 / CSS / CSS3
    • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Relational Databases (e.g., MS SQL) or Graph Databases (e.g., COSMOS DB)

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience
    • Experience in a DevOps culture supporting live site
    • Experience as agile practitioner (certified scrum master, scrum developer or scrum professional).
    • Experience with Continuous Delivery practices, TDD
    • Experience in Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and REST
    • Experience in Micro Services and WebAPI
    • Experience working with Program Management, Business & Audience teams to understand business scenarios and map them to technical architecture & design
    • Experience defining and implementing Telemetry acquisition for capturing business outcomes

    Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year
