Intern - Information Security (Remote)

Part-Time, United States

As part of the IT Department, you will understand and apply security policies, controls, and best practices to improve the information security operations within BCD Travel.

As an Intern - Information Security, you will

• Use a teaching/education approach to help users understand their risks and better protect information and systems
• Create an article series on different InfoSec topics relevant for all staff (end users) e.g., to be published for Cybersecurity Awareness Month (CSAM)
• Create information on the "good behavior" of end users (If in doubt, report!, Think - before you click), including Internet research on such topics
• Prepare a variety of different articles for later publishing
• Collaborate with the Operations security team on a one-on-one basis to gain an understanding of Operations security activities (GDS audit, Training (phishing campaigns) & Communication)
• Be familiar with the security requirements and controls needed to maintain the business operations
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies relating to Information Security
  
  

About You

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree (B.A., B.S.), or equivalent combination of education and experience in Information Protection, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related curriculum
• Relevant general Information Technology knowledge
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Security industry-relevant certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, HISP, and PMP preferred

The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Intern - Information Security is $21 per hour . The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location.
