Senior C++ Software Engineer (Computer Vision)

Your mission

PXL Vision is looking for a Senior C++ Software Engineer with a focus on computer vision who will contribute to core technology development in our Zurich office. You will be part of a highly motivated team working on challenging topics in machine learning, computer vision and data processing. In this role you will actively shape the next generations of the software infrastructure that all of PXL’s products are built on, and thereby drive the direction of our company.

Your profile

Responsibilities:

• Be at the core of boosting PXL’s products and infrastructure to the next level with your ideas and directly help driving the future of the company
• Contribute to the long-term vision of the products developed at PXL
• Work collaboratively with data scientists and ML engineers
• Prototyping and evaluating new features, and bringing them all the way to production level.
• Be a patron for software engineering excellence and best practices
• Write clean, efficient and maintainable code

Job Requirements:

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Machine Learning and Computer Vision, or related fields
• 5+ years of practical experience in developing computer vision algorithms
• Proven background as a technical leader for end-to-end computer vision solutions
• Excellent understanding of modern C++
• Good understanding of Python
• Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms and software architecture
• Advocate for modern development best practices such as CI, TDD, code review, static/dynamic code analysis
• Excellent English communication skills
• Hands-on and proactive can-do attitude, willing to take the initiative

Other experience / skills which would be a bonus, in no particular order:

• Experience with Machine Learning, Data Science and Data Engineering
• Experience with software development on Linux
• iOS / Android native GUI development and automated testing
• Cross platform package management tools, ideally for C++
• Build systems experience (eg. CMake, Bazel)
• Experience in performance optimisation of ML/CV pipelines
• Knowledge of gRPC and WebAssembly
