Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV) therapies – great-developed products of Edwards Lifesciences – supported by extensive customer training and service, our SAPIEN family of transcatheter aortic heart valves are the most widely prescribed transcatheter heart valves in the world.

The Senior Manager Hospital Strategic Programs will design and deploy EU hospital strategic programs that help centers enhance their patient pathway capacity and related resources for the best management of aortic stenosis patients, now and in the future. She/He will work in close collaboration with the country commercial and marketing team to tailor the program to the country environment and needs. She/He will leverage the European and national healthcare guidelines/best practices, and major clinical & economic data to develop meaningful and impactful content. She/He will leverage KOLs and the field teams to mobilize and align hospital cardiovascular leadership on defining their capacity expansion plans on the patient pathway. He/she will connect this program with other internal strategic programs, initiatives and tools to best engage and bring consistency to account on our capacity programs.

Candidate locations: could be all EU countries where Edwards has own legal entity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify market readiness, opportunities and needs for a hospital programs aiming at increasing patients access to TAVI in key EU markets
  • Develop and localize customer engagement programs and tools.
  • Engage customers in close collaboration with country leadership & commercial teams on hospital capacity and economic programs, aiming at leading hospital cardiovascular leaderships to improve their AS patient pathway and define growth plans including clinical, investment and organizational aspects
  • Train and partner with local teams on how to best engage and educate customers on hospital patient pathway improvement and capacity activities
  • Engage and build relationships with Economic Decision Makers and agencies
  • Support the dissemination of cost-effectiveness data that support the overall TAVI & Edwards value proposition to hospitals

Education and Experience:
  • Required Master's Degree or equivalent with 10-15 years years experience of related experience working in med-tech/Pharma strategic account management, strategic marketing, hospital health-economic/financials functions or consulting

Additional Skills:
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal. Several European languages preferred (e.g., German, French, Italian, Spanish)
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
  • Ability to lead without authority
  • Experience working in Global, Regional, and/or Local marketing environment
  • Demonstrated success with strategic marketing, business and/or strategic programs which have a strong impact on hospital patient pathways
  • Strong analytic and project management skills combined with ability to lead execution
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including sales & marketing leadership
  • Excellent understanding of economic value proposition
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to represent leadership while working closely with cross-functional team, marketing peers and leaders
  • Ability to successfully manage needs and messages to upper management
