For our segment of construction, we are searching a Director Technical Services with the following profile:

Role and Responsibilities:

• Management of Technical Service organization and labs of Segment Construction
• Prioritizing projects, setting direction for department and allocate resources according to global Construction Segment priorities
• Leading Omya Academy training for Construction applications
• Visit of (key) customers, seminars & exhibitions globally
• Support Distribution Business with laboratory projects and cooperation with chosen principal
• Creating publications and presentations as well as presenting at selected conferences and customers
• Provide effective technical support and guidance for global key accounts
• Support and guidance to regional Technical Service hubs (Americas, Asia Pacific) as dotted line manager

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

• M.Sc. or PhD in Chemical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in related industry
• Proven track record of successful and effective management of large technical organization
• Service-oriented solution provider with strong customer focus and related social skills
• Excellent communication & presentation skills, high competen-cies in customer interactions
• Motivated team player with working track record in international environment
• Proven project management skills and experience in design & management of experiments
• Ability to find and constantly looking for customer solutions, achieve objectives and drive them to completion
• Works thoroughly, efficient and precise, sets priorities
• Proactive personality with skilled assertiveness
• English and German written & oral fluently; additional languages are an asset
