The ideal candidate has worked before on programming mobile autonomous robots and understands computer vision algorithms like SLAM.

Working from our Vienna office, you’ll develop groundbreaking technology together with colleagues from our locations in Santa Monica (HQ) and London. You will collaborate with researchers, engineers, and designers and will develop algorithms to create exciting products and breakthrough interactive experiences.

What You Will Do

  • Program autonomous robot and robotic arm for repeatable tests in controlled environments
  • Develop and conduct robotics based tests for computer vision algorithms
  • Develop and design test infrastructure and tools to support other teams with CV testing
  • Combine sensor data of various tracking and scanning systems
  • Develop and test sensor calibration algorithms

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge in C++
  • Understanding of Computer Vision and Computer Graphics methods
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals

Minimum Qualifications

  • BSc in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. computer science, mechanical engineering, robotics, ...)
  • Track record of successful projects showing computer vision and robotics skills
  • 3+ years of programming experience in C, C++, Python or Matlab
  • Experience with ROS (robot operating system)
  • Attention to detail, strong desire for quality and good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters, PhD, or industrial experience in a relevant engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of professional work experience as an engineer
  • Experience with ClearPath, OptiTrack, Kinova, KUKA or others
  • Experience with SLAM, point cloud processing or visual tracking systems
  • Experience with industrial standards for mobile robots
  • Experience with sensor (camera, ... ) calibration

The annual gross salary (38,5 hours / week) for this position is according to the collective agreement (IT-KV). We are offering a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
