  • Guide and collaborate with a team of developers, realize Java applications through design, coding and testing
  • Coordinate development of solutions in the field of Marketing Technology, such as CRM and Marketing Automation.
  • Involve in code reviews, standup meetings, sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Create project and product documentation
  • Provide business rules and concepts, software specifications and designs provided and help your team of developers to live by them
  • Lead the customization of the BSI Customer Suite in implementation projects.
  • Actively drive the Synpulse8 culture


About You:


  • Excellent Java developer skills. Proven record of experience with the Spring and Spring-boot framework, knowledge of related tools & libraries, well-versed in best practices
  • Very good understanding of relational databases, ideally in the context of CRM-systems and marketing automation.
  • You have experience in software architecture and design, have an intuition where challenges are, can make high- and low-level estimates
  • You enjoy teaching and providing guidance to less experienced developers, and collaboration with other senior engineers to develop standards is important to you
  • Positive, proactive team player who is passionate about their craft and cares about helping the team deliver
  • Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to others in English and German


Nice to have:


  • Knowledge in RESTFul APIs is highly advantageous
  • Knowledge in JavaScript (ECMA Script) is of advantage
  • Knowledge in Apache Tomcat, Apache Lucene, PostgreSQL is of advantage
  • Experience in writing automated tests (Unit/UI/Integration tests)
  • Experience with backend development in Java
  • Knowledge of the following tools will be helpful: IntelliJ, Jira, Git, Maven, OpenAPI, Docker, SQL


Nice to have:


  • Knowledge in RESTFul APIs is highly advantageous
